Recently, good news came from Shizuoka Sangyo University(SSU) in Japan. Fifty-seven students from the 2023 batch of the China-Japan program in IC(International College) Xiamen University successfully passed the entrance examination and will go to Japan to study in September this year. The number of students passing the entrance examination in this program has reached a new high. Among them, 16 students from IC have received scholarships , and 7 students have won the A-class scholarship with outstanding academic performance and remarkable achievements, setting a new record for the number of students receiving the A-class scholarship in this program.
Among the 16 students who received scholarships, seven students, namely Chen Pinrui, Chen Sitong, Jin Jiabo, Luo Siyue, NG SHINONG, Qiu Jiqi and Zheng Haoyu, were awarded the A-class scholarship, with an annual tuition reduction of 400,000 Japanese yen (approximately 20,000 RMB). Eight students, namely Chen Hanyun, Chen Linqi, Chen Minyi, Li Yuxin, Ni Junjie, Yang Renji, Zhang Yutong and Zhao Yisong, were awarded the B-class scholarship, with an annual tuition reduction of 200,000 Japanese yen (approximately 10,000 RMB). Zhang Bohan was awarded the C-class scholarship, with an annual tuition reduction of 100,000 Japanese yen (approximately 5,000 RMB).
Since 2007, the launch of the cooperation program between both sides, 17 cohorts of students have successfully gone to Japan for study and completed their subsequent undergraduate programs. Through two years of Japanese language training and basic course studies at IC, students have continuously improved their Japanese proficiency and strengthened their professional foundation. The quality of student cultivation has been steadily enhanced, and it has received high praise from SSU. Every year, SSU offers tuition reduction rewards to students from IC who have outstanding academic performance and moral conduct. As the program cooperation deepens and the quality of students continuously improves, more students will realize their dreams of studying in Japan through this program.
