From April 28^th to 29^th, a delegation led by Kazuhiko Tabata ,Vice President of Shizuoka Sangyo University (SSU) in Japan visited International College(IC), Xiamen University(XMU). They engaged in in-depth exchanges with IC leaders on student cultivation and deepening intercollegiate cooperation. Additionally, they organized an entrance examination for the 2023 batch of students of the China-Japan program of IC to select students to study in Japan this autumn.

On the morning of the 28^th, Kazuhiko Tabata, Vice President of SSU and his delegation held a discussion with students of the China-Japan program of IC. They provided a detailed introduction to the development overview of their university, application requirements, international student rewards, study programs for international students, and further education and employment opportunities, which provided professional guidance for the students to study in Japan smoothly.

In the afternoon, a meeting was held between Kazuhiko Tabata,Vice President of SSU and his delegation，and Tao Tao, Dean of IC, Zhang Xiaoyun, He Haitao, Deputy Dean of IC, Ma Xianghua, Deputy Secretary of IC and Yan Sa, Head of the Japanese Language Teaching Group, IC.

Tao Tao, Dean of IC warmly welcomed the visit of Kazuhiko Tabata,Vice President of SSU and his delegation. He expressed sincere gratitude for the long-term support of SSU for the cooperation program and for the patient guidance provided to the students. He stated that since the program was launched in 2007, the cooperation between the two sides has become increasingly close and fruitful. This year, the number of students participating in the examination has reached a new high, and the program has become the most successful international 2+2 program of the college. It has received high satisfaction from students, partner institutions, and the society. He hopes that both sides, with mutual understanding and support, will continuously improve the teaching level and student training quality of the program, jointly make the program better and better, and promote the good development of the educational exchange program between the two universities.

Kazuhiko Tabata, Vice President of SSU expressed his gratitude to IC for the continuous support to SSU. Through the joint efforts of both universities, 16 cohorts of students have successfully graduated from SSU. He hopes that in the future, the two sides will continue to strengthen exchanges and cooperation, promote the stable development of cooperation program, and provide the society with more and better multi-skilled talents.

On April 29^th, SSU held the 2025 admission examination at IC. A total of 69 students participated in the examination. During the exam, the students from IC demonstrated a solid foundation in professional knowledge and active thinking. They had a comprehensive understanding of Japanese history, culture, and the latest information, which left a favorable impression on the Japanese teachers. They highly praised the students' learning attitude and expected them to successfully pass the exam and adapt quickly to the new study and life in Japan.
